We are thrilled to invite you to Pivot’s first student wellbeing workshop focussed on Effectively Embedding Student Wellbeing Practice within our schools.
The full-day Professional Development workshop will be hosted by Rebecca Harris from Embedding Wellbeing, a wellbeing expert who will guide participants through research-informed student wellbeing practices with a focus on practical strategies and takeaways that can be implemented in your school.
Workshop overview:
The workshop is aligned with Pivot’s Wellbeing for Learning program and will cover:
- general wellbeing
- resilience,
- belonging
- safety
- protective behaviours
The workshop provides an opportunity to delve into reflective practices around student wellbeing via small group work guided by Rebecca. The workshop is designed for leadership, wellbeing teams and educators alike to deeply examine and refine their approaches and shared goal of embedding student wellbeing within their schools Whether you are looking for practical strategies for the classroom or ideas that will help inform your school’s student wellbeing planning, the workshop provides a balance of theory and practice.
About Rebecca:
Rebecca is an education consultant with a background in counselling and psychotherapy.
She has many years of in-school experience including 8 years as a Student Wellbeing Coordinator and is the author of the popular educator practitioner book, Safe to Learn: Embedding Trauma-Informed Student Wellbeing Practices. Find her on LinkedIn here.
Rebecca’s work has a trauma-informed approach and her professional learning is always a mix of science and theory, stories, and lots of practical take-aways.
