Strong Women Strong World Next Gen invites you to join us, from wherever you are, on May 22nd for the World Vision Global 6K for Water. Whether you join from the treadmill or your favorite trail, the neighborhood or the track… we’ll join thousands of others around the world to walk, jog, or stroller-run our way to 6K on May 22nd, to bring life-changing clean water to those who need it most.

The Issue: Nearly 1,000 children under the age of 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. The average distance that many women and children walk for water in the developing world is 6K (3.7 mi.).We believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes. $50 provides clean water to one person and when you register for this event, every dollar will go to World Vision. As the largest non governmental provider of clean water, World Vision reaches one new person with clean water every 10 seconds.

How to Participate: It's Virtual! In light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and because we so enjoyed having participants from around the world last year (7 different countries!) we will not be meeting together for the race but instead we are going to participate from our own locations! We highly encourage you to form your own 6k pods-whether that is with your friends, family, neighbors or vaccinated buddies! You'll recieve more information from us in the days leading up to the event with a printable 6k bib and instructions on how you can share your photos via social media - stay tuned!
