About this event

Being a woman is very complex, add Motherhood in and self-care takes on a whole new meaning. The goal of this exercise session is to connect with other moms to know you are not alone in the new bodily challenges that come with being a Mother, as well as to collectively learn exercises and techniques that will live with us for the rest of our lives, creating a happier and healthier Motherhood journey!

Oftentimes we hear about childbirth changing our bodies for the worst but this doesn't have to be our story. Yes our body will change but we have to remember that we do have control over how we feel and heal and education is the first step.

This virtual group exercise session is for pregnant & postpartum Mommies who want to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles for an:

  • efficient delivery of baby
  • faster recovery time
  • smooth return to pleasure activities
  • aid in core stability
  • prevention of prolapse

This exercise group is also for you if you are not a mother but:

  • endure painful intercourse
  • suffer from endometriosis
  • undergone gynecological surgery
  • Interested in becoming pregnant

Did you know?

  • The pelvic floor can be both under-active and over-active
  • During pregnancy the weight on your pelvic floor is said to be equivalent of a 220 pound man
  • to be strong means to you have power, endurance, speed & functionality

Village Of Mothers prioritizes postpartum care and resources for BIPOC mothers, fusing village values and ethics back into our communities through ancestral education, holistic care and sisterhood. We look forward to gathering virtually and strengthening some of the most important groups of muscles we have, together.
