We are creating a Community of Practice (CoP) in Wake County. A CoP is a safe area where members may share their knowledge and get support, motivation, and inspiration.Our mission is to achieve personal mastery through self-reflection, personal healing, education, and lifestyle changes that foster integrity and accountability.W﻿e are a counterculture of wellness for the culture of stress! We are going to play the stress away!A﻿re you managing your stress effectively?Stress is not an isolated physical emotion, feeling, or symptom; it interferes with our ability to succeed. If we want to feel happier, make more money, achieve work-life balance, improve health and relations, and have more time, we must receive stress education, learn new habits and actions, and practice stress management and wellness with a CoP.I﻿ discovered a way for people experiencing daily stress to improve the quality of their lives by implementing fun practices that prevent stress and burnout!

I discovered a simple way to eliminate chronic stress, which is easy to incorporate into an already busy life!Although stress is normalized, we should NOT be experiencing stressors daily!Stress is the ENEMY, and it stands in the way of success! We are busybodies who rarely sleep, eat poorly, and grind beyond human capacity. But no one benefits—not our family and friends, not our employers, not our community, and especially not our well-being. Although there is no way to avoid the omnipresence of stress, it can be managed.The biggest cause of chronic illness is stress, and the most significant cause of stress is work. It is estimated that 90% of all visits to healthcare providers are stress-related. Six in ten adults in the U.S. have chronic diseases such as asthma, heart disease, obesity, cancer, or diabetes, and four in ten adults have two or more. The United States has over 52.9 million adults ages 18 and older affected by mental illnesses like anxiety disorders and depression. Many diseases and illnesses can be prevented by managing stress and practicing wellness.Many actions do not counter stress and reduce cortisol (the stress hormone). Television, shopping, social media, alcohol, drugs, stress eating, diet, numbing, avoiding, and disengagement are maladaptive ways to manage stress. In this FUNshop, we play, have fun, and utilize stress-reduction adaptive coping practices that can be used anytime and anywhere. Wear athletic clothing.
