Streets Ball 2017

Streetsblog and Streetfilms connect people to information about how to reduce dependence on cars and improve conditions for walking, biking, and transit. Since 2006, our reporters have broken important stories about efforts to prevent pedestrian injuries and deaths, build out bicycle networks, and make transit more useful. Our writing and videos inspire change and raise the profile of these issues with policy makers.Today, thousands of readers rely on Streetsblog and Streetfilms to plug into the movement for streets where people come first instead of cars.Our work is funded by foundation grants, sponsorships and advertising, and generous donations from readers like you.

Celebrate with Streetsblog and Streetfilms and support high-impact reporting and videos that show how to make streets that work for people, not cars. It's all happening at Streets Ball 2017 on Thursday, October 26th at Chelsea Piers – and we hope you'll join us. We’ll enjoy a cocktail reception, delicious sit-down dinner, and honor some of the greatest livable streets advocates on the planet.
 6:00-6:30pm       VIP Cocktails
6:30-7:00pm       Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres
7:00-9:00pm       Dinner and Awards Program
 Funds raised at the Streets Ball go directly to Streetsblog and Streetfilms, enabling us to produce online media that makes the case for policies like building out a cohesive network of safe, all-ages bike lanes, expanding sidewalks and car-free streets, reducing traffic through better parking management, and upgrading our bus and subway systems. It all adds up to a safer, more livable city where people have more freedom to get around and enjoy the streets we all share.
