Overview

A screening of Alexandra Henry's documentary film, Street Heroines

Through the journeys of three Latina artists in New York City, Mexico City, and São Paulo, Street Heroines captures how women across the globe have used graffiti and street art both as defiance against misogyny and exclusion, and as a means to redefine the culture on their own terms. Interwoven with the voices of trailblazers like Lady Pink, Claw Money, Swoon, and iconic photographer Martha Cooper, the film celebrates the legacy and global influence of women who shaped the movement from its earliest days — while rarely receiving recognition.

The film will be accompanied by a Q&A with the director Alexandra Henry
