A Book Launch Unlike Any Other (Probably)

More like interactive performance art than an author reading, this offbeat book launch lets you complete quirky “Agenda” tasks around downtown Asheville—at your own pace—to earn the best* peanut butter* cookie* ever. All while avoiding small talk!

Activities include:

  • Folding a paper masterpiece
  • Taking photos of yourself looking intelligent
  • Ogling a real live author and exchanging awkward hellos
  • And officially welcoming THIS MOTH SAW BRIGHTNESS (written by a local, neurodivergent author) into the world

Other Notes:

  • Dog-friendly. Child-friendly. Introvert-friendly (noise-cancelling headphones welcome).
  • Start at Malaprops; complete the experience in 30-60 minutes by visiting nearby stops.
  • Cookie* eligibility does require book purchase. (Because capitalism.)

*yes, the cookie has asterisks for a reason.
