Local author Kathy Biehl talks about the reality of book publishing (traditional and self) and reads excerpts from Confessions of a Third-Rate Goddess: Traipsing Through a World Gone Weird.

Bio: Kathy Biehl's most recent collection of humorous social commentary, Confessions of a Third-Rate Goddess: Traipsing Through a World Gone Weird, chronicles pre-social media life in the 1990s. Her food anthology, Eat, Drink & Be Wary: Cautionary Tales was shortlisted for the 2022 Eric Hoffer Award Grand Prize. Her work has also won awards from the Association of Food Journalists, Houston Press Club, and Texas Bar Journal. She has co-authored or contributed to guides on legal Internet research, dining, and personal empowerment, including Your Guide to Self-Discovery: Twenty Ways to Find the True You (Llewellyn 2023.)
