Description
You have to write as part of your job—maybe not all the time, but enough: creating case studies or publishing internal blog posts, communicating externally, or telling stories about the work you're doing. And here's the thing: You're always struggling. Every time you start typing you can't find your voice, or you feel blunt, or rushed. How can you change that?
STORIED is a simple four-week program to help you communicate more effectively through writing.
If you want to sharpen your skills and find a voice that's interesting and human, this is the course for you. If you need tips on how to tell stories that can delight and inform readers—whether they're co-workers, friends or customers, we're here to help.
Whether you’re a public-facing executive, a manager, a communications pro, or just a creative person looking for a little guidance, this is a class for anyone who wants to learn how to use writing and storytelling techniques to improve their professional communications.
Over a month of weekly sessions, we'll mix very practical tips on improving your writing with a little bit of theory that can help you approach the tasks in front of you, like:
• Finding the stories you need to tell
• Making your sentences zing
• Zooming in on your personality and developing your voice
• Identifying the best ways to express ideas
By the end of it, you'll be a cleaner and more engaging communicator, with the confidence and ability to play to your strengths and minimize your weaknesses.
This class runs Tuesday evenings for four weeks from 7-9pm in downtown San Francisco.
