Stop the Violence MMXXV

Stop The Violence: The Local Showdown Is a community event for the people of the Boston area to come out and enjoy the night of dance, music and peaceful positive energy, “a let go from reality” if you will. This event is put together by The HYPPE (Nonprofit Organization) and UnKnown Hype Dance Company. This specific event will highlight the importance of unity and togetherness while embracing the many talents in the New England community and remember the many lives tragically taken by violence.

Unfortunately, amidst the recent tragedy of losing a valued member of our company and community, we will also be taking this opportunity to honor and celebrate the life of Kyre Ambrose a well known young individual that trained in the art of dance with many well known companies, studios and schools such as Boston Arts Academy (High School) and AMDA (LA) (College) whose life was taken carelessly by a act of violence. While also continuing to honor the legacy of our show co-creator, The HYPPE founder & UnKnown Hype Dance Co. Manager and Co-Founder, as well as esteemed community leader, the late great Shamika L. James.
