The Mission of theCapeMay County Prosecutor’s Office is To Provide professional leadership and guidance through the coordination of law enforcement resources to safeguard and protect the citizens by detection, arrest, prosecution and conviction of criminal offenders.One of the goals of the Community Outreach Division within the Prosecutor's Office is to build relationships and trust between the Prosecutor's Office and the diverse communities in Cape May County.  The Community Outreach Division seeks any opportunity to engage and educate the public regarding issues and concerns highlighted by the citizens of Cape May County.  The Community Outreach Division can be reached by calling the Community Outreach Director, Captain Joseph Landis, Detective Mary Rybicki, or Community Relations Specialist/Public Information Officer, Cheryl Spaulding at (609) 465-1135.

New Jersey is proudly one of the most diverse states in the country, and Governor Phil Murphy and Attorney General Matthew Platkin have made it clear that hate has no home in New Jersey. Sadly, there has been a rise in reports of bias incidents, and Cape May County has not been excluded from these reports of bias T﻿he Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and all Cape May County Law Enforcement Agencies work hard to encourage people to feel comfortable reporting bias incidents to law enforcement. Because our committment to protecting our residents is paramount, we need to make sure our residents are knowledgeable in recognizing bias incidents and hate crimes. We also want the business community to get involved in identifying their businesses as Safe Places where people can go if they are being targeted, harassed, or stalked because of who they are perceived to be.
