Stop the bleed!  Save a life! Come learn the principles of the Stop the Bleed Basic Instruction Course in a fun, easy class.

Texas Health Dallas Professional Building 5 (Texas Health Resources University)

S﻿top the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This class is free to the public.I﻿n 75-90 minutes, participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and learn how to pack a wound with gauze or cloth and hold pressure, or by applying a tourniquet to an arm or leg. You will walk in as a participant, and leave as a trained immediate responder. The actions of an immediate responder can save a life!T﻿his class will be held in the auditorium on the first floor of the Professional Building #5 at the southern tip of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas campus. Parking is FREE!After this class, all new immediate responders are most welcome to stay for the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) class which runs from 1:00 to 3:00pm.
