Mental health charity Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind (CPSL Mind) are offering fully funded suicide prevention training places to staff and volunteers working for local charities, community groups, family court and solicitors who support couples and families of risk of breakdown across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The one-hour STOP Suicide talk will equip participants with an overview of how to identify a person at risk of suicide and equip them to support that individual to stay safe.
This event will be held in-person in Cambridge.
Relationship breakdown campaign aims:
• Raise awareness of the warning signs of suicide for individuals and organisations supporting those who are experiencing a relationship break down.
• Increase knowledge and understanding of how to approach a conversation about suicide if an individual is experiencing a relationship break down.
• Equip our local community with suicide prevention skills via funded STOP Suicide Workshops.
Suicidal thoughts are more common than you might think – one in five people in the UK will experience suicidal thoughts in their lifetime.
