Intro to Stop Motion Animation
Join us at BevCam on March 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM for an engaging introduction to the art of stop motion animation!
This session will explore the different types of stop motion animation, take you behind the scenes of how it works, and walk you through the tools and resources you’ll need to get started. You’ll learn the fundamentals of bringing objects to life, frame by frame, and gain insight into how animators create movement, character, and story from still images.
This workshop will be presented in a demonstration-style format rather than a full hands-on working session. However, attendees will learn how to continue their animation journey at BevCam, with upcoming opportunities for hands-on practice and deeper skill-building.
One-On-Ones: At a later date, both members and non-members alike may later opt into a one-on-one, hands-on lesson for a fee if they’d like more personalized instruction and guided practice. Those interested in advancing further can dive deeper into more complex animation techniques through these individualized sessions.
Bonus for Members! BevCam members who complete this workshop gain access to our stop-motion animation software and dedicated camera equipment! Members can also book the edit suite to animate at no additional cost as part of their benefits.

About Lyss
Lyss Lentini doesn’t believe in being just one thing. As an animator, they have worked in virtually every medium that they have access to, with a main focus in stop motion animation and post production. They find inspiration in the weird and unpredictable, like mixed media animation and 80s movies with practical effects. Animation to them is about creating life, whether that be from a drawing, a vectorized line, or a ball of wool. They will make it happen.
