Stop Motion Animation: Lights Camera Action
Technology meets art in this introduction to animation class. Get ready to unleash your creativity and bring your imagination to life! As a foundation, you will learn about the history of animation by exploring zoetropes, thaumatropes, flipbooks and so many other intriguing early forms of animation. You will use a variety of mediums, from paper to Legos to Model Magic clay, to practice the art of stop-motion animation. You will learn how to storyboard, write a script, film, and edit your stop-motion animation films. In addition, you can add sound by recording your voice or collaborating with others to bring your story to life. Whether you're a beginner or a budding filmmaker, this event is perfect for you. HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL: The health and safety of our students, staff, their families, and the community at large is our top priority. SRVEF follows the guidelines set by Contra Costa Health Services.
REFUND, CANCELATION, and WAITLIST POLICIES: Refunds will be allowed up until 2 weeks before the first day of class and will incur a $25 processing fee. After this time, no refunds will be granted. If a class is canceled by SRVEF Imagineering, you will be given the option to transfer registration to a similar class or receive a full refund. The waitlist will be handled in order until one week before the event. At that time, if a spot becomes available, the entire waitlist will be notified at the same time and the first to respond will be offered the spot.
