Celebrating Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival's 10th anniversary!!!

Join us for a one of a kind class! In this 3 day class, we will be focusing on making our own tools from materials we find on the landscape. The focus will be mainly on wildcrafting while learning wilderness survival. Students will craft and create an array of tools to use on their next wilderness adventure. No need to bring any steel knives, as you will be given a professionally "knapped" stone knife at the beginning of this class to use throughout your adventure.

Students will make their own gourd bowls and seashell spoons to eat the provided meals. Learn shelter building, rope making, friction fire, flint knapping, bone tools, animal traps, foraging, seashell tools, pine bark baskets, and leatherworking!

This will be a generally sedentary and relaxing camping experience. Potable water, bathroom facilities, and campsites are provided. Bring your own camping gear (sleeping bags, tents, blankets, etc). Open to adults, couples, families with children, or anyone wishing to learn and expand their skills! If purchasing 2 or more tickets in a single order, use the code FAMILY5 for a family or couples discount.

This class is geared for adults, however mature minors are welcome to join. We do not set an age minimum but rather set a maturity standard. It is up to the parents to decide if they feel their child or teen is mature enough for a 3 day survival class. All students are expected to maintain a respect level for all students and carry themselves as individuals. If you feel your child will be interruptive to the flow of class, or hinder your independent learning, this class will not be for them and we encourage you to look at our children's survival classes, which are specifically structured for kids. Students below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The ticket price covers the cost for 1 student, regardless of age.

All of the crafts and tools we make in this class will be made without the use of a steel knife. We will use bone awls, seashell scoops, stone knives, and rope made from plants to create all of the tools during this class. You may bring as much "modern" gear as you wish to use during this class including rain jackets, tents, camp stoves, utensils, hiking boots, backpacks, etc. We want you to be comfortable during this class so you can be focused on crafting and learning.

An official gear list will be sent to students who sign up, but you are responsible for bringing your own tent, bedding, clothing, water bottles, notebooks/pens, personal care items, and overall camping equipment. Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival will provide all of the natural materials necessary, or we will gather the materials on site during this class. Students will go home with lots of cool things they made including seashell spoons, gourd bowls, stone blades, bone awls, buckskin pouches, pine bark baskets, animal traps, and a friction fire set! Morning coffee/tea, lunch and dinner will be provided. Meals will be "paleo diet" focused throughout the class.
