Buunni Coffee  - an Uptown coffee company highlighting ethically sourced, and small-holder grown Ethiopian specialty coffees. In addition to serving fabled full-flavored Ethiopian coffees, Buunni's Inwood location is also community hub, an events space and is available for private rentals.

We are pleased to announce an upcoming fine art exhibition: STILLNESS, a Duo Exhibition by Edgar Hernández and Josefina Hernández.“Stillness” brings together the work of father and daughter, two artists who approach their art as a meditative practice that counters the fast paced, and distracted ways in which our society operates. Their distinct techniques —painting on canvas and paper cutting—converge as they engage in a fluid conversation where their internal worlds are seamlessly interconnected. It is their hope that viewers will take a moment of contemplation to take in the works.Edgar Hernandez is a Colombian artist currently experimenting with acrylic on canvas. He was born in Bogotá, Colombia where he earned his BA in Architecture in 1981. He worked as an architect until 2001 when he moved to Toronto, Canada where he resides now. “Stillness” reúne el trabajo de padre e hija, dos artistas que abordan su arte como una práctica meditativa que contrasta las formas aceleradas y distraídas en que opera nuestra sociedad.Sus distintas técnicas —pintura sobre lienzo y “papercut”— convergen mientras entablan una conversación fluida en la que sus mundos internos se interconectan a la perfección. Es su esperanza que los espectadores se tomen un momento de contemplación para asimilar las obras.Edgar Hernandez es una artista colombiano que actualmente experimenta con el acrílico sobre lienzo. Nació en Bogotá, Colombia, donde obtuvo su licenciatura en Arquitectura en 1981. About the v﻿enue: Buunni Inwood is an independent neighborhood coffee shop that brews small-batch roasted Ethiopian coffee beans. Many of the coffees are certified fair trade and organic, while others are sourced from small farms that are committed to responsible practices.
