Stigma Unbound returns to the dungeon to showcase a risque and thought-provoking series of performances in observation of NYC Pride. In contrast to corporate and official pride celebrations, we come together on this night to share personal stories and perspectives on what pride really means if you're queer, a person of color, gender nonconforming, trans, or a sex worker.
Queer nightlife darling GEMINEMESIS emcees a provocative lineup of performers including SUGAR MAMASOTA, TRASHBEAST, LEIA KATHERINE, LAUR DUVALL, X SENN-YUEN RANCE, AELITA PARIZEK, and NIKKI SWEET, KAYA LIN, & BRYNN MICHAELS. With a special video art loop by @SABBYSHOW.
As with our last event at this space, there will be an all gender inclusive play party following the performance art event. This time experimental performance art/music duo HETHEMOON SHETHESUN/NADANADA will create an experimental ritual performance complete with audience participation! These two events are separately ticketed, with a discount for people who attend both.

NIKKI SWEET, KAYA LIN, and BRYNN MICHAELS “Collective Effervescence” is an exploration of sexuality and how our personal fantasies interact with the people in our lives as well as society at large. Nikki Sweet, Kaya Lin, and Brynn Michaels star in an act that wouldn’t exist without its eager audience. 
TRASHBEAST "FuelNued" Nudity is something else entirely when your body is perceived through the lens of the cisheteronormative idea of gender. This piece explores the idea of what it would be like, in this industry, if queer sex and nudity were accepted as opposed to fetishized, the norm, and maybe even celebrated in spaces. LAUR DUVALL "pervert." pervert means to alter from its original course, meaning or state of what was first intended. pervert is also a stigma attached to people who draw people /look at people. Laur Duvall draws their body from their shadows. Movements unfold into drawings videos, sound, photos, and performance. Duvall sharply contrasts a fragile touch with violent and aggressive action. This is an inclusive queer party that welcomes all genders. Do not shame anyone for who they are, what they are into, and know that consent is an absolute must. If you aren't finding what you are looking for, just be kind to each other and keep mingling. There will be party staff around the space keeping an eye on things, and there is zero tolerance for anyone who disrespects anyone else for their race, body, age, appearance, gender, genitals, kinks, for being disabled, for using condoms, for not using condoms, for being thirsty, for being shy, for being naked, for wearing "too much", or for who they are in any other capacity. If you have an unkind comment to make, DON'T. CONSENT IS A MUST! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PERMISSION BEFORE TOUCHING. IF SOMEONE SAYS "NO THANK YOU" or "NOT RIGHT NOW, THANKS" MOVE ON. IF YOU FEEL SOMEONE IS NOT LISTENING TO YOU, BEING AGGRESSIVE IN A THREATENING WAY OR VIOLATING YOUR SAFETY IN ANY WAY PLEASE NOTIFY EVENT STAFF IMMEDIATELY AND WE WILL REMOVE THEM FROM THE PARTY. DO make sure people want to be touched before you touch them, DO make sure you know what someone's pronouns are before gendering them, DO be nice and ask respectful questions if the person you are interacting with seems open to it, DON'T assume you know what people's body parts are called (even if it's what your high school biology text book said!) Basically just DO communicate and respect each other and DON'T USE TRANSPHOBIC LANGUAGE.  This is a 21+ event, no one under 21 will be permitted.
