Join the Lake Sammamish Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership (UWRP) as we partner with Green Issaquah on monthly Stewardship Saturday events!

This month, we'll be working at the Anthology Open Space to remove invasive species, primarily blackberry bushes, to clear space to native plant trees in the wetland area along a section of Tibbetts Creek.

Event Details
Meet at 10:00 am at the start of the boardwalk along 19th Ave NW, across from the Rowley Storage Units. Volunteers will be using loppers, shovels, and other tools to cut and dig blackberry out as we prep the site for future native tree plantings.

All community members are welcome, and no experience necessary!

Reserve your spot online. Registration will close at 5:00 pm the day before the event.

W hat to bring

  • Closed-toed shoes are required, such as hiking boots, tennis shoes, or rain boots. Digging will be muddy.
  • Don’t forget your water, snacks, and any additional layers to keep yourself comfortable while you’re out.
  • We will provide the know-how, gloves, and tools, for everyone to be successful.
