Step for Pets

Since 1944, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona has undergone a steady evolution to become the full-service animal welfare organization it is today.We work to give the best care to each homeless pet that comes through our doors. We go to extraordinary efforts to ensure all pets get care and love from our staff before they go to the homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.But we are so much more than a shelter. In addition to theLow Cost Spay & Neuterservices, we offerlow-cost vaccinationsto help keep the pets of our community healthy. And to ensure that the lives of our pets continue to improve, we have an extensiveEducation and Outreachprogram to teach the importance of humane treatment and proper care of pets.Combined, these programs make up thepillars of our organization.Most importantly, we are long-standing part of this community – one that is on a journey to create a better future for pets and the people who love them. Do you like a challenge? Are you tired of exercising in the AZ heat? We have just the event for you! Join us for Step  for Pets, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona's first annual stair climb event! Participate in either the half climb, or climb all of the 1,306 steps of the Tucson Convention Center Arena on September 15th. Registration runs from 8am-10am.
