Step Back In Time With Jane Austen: An Interactive Program

The New York Public Library has reopened all available branches. As of July 6, this location offers nearly full service, including general library use and seating, unlimited browsing, computer access, and more. In-person programs and classes will return over the coming months. Masks are still required for all persons in NYPL locations. See you at the library!

This event will take place in-person at Pelham Parkway-Van Nest. Meet Jane Austen and experience an interactive story time, lessons in Regency dance and manners. Enjoy a tasty tea party! Lots to see, touch, taste and do! Participants will be able to talk to and interact with Ms. Austen throughout the program.Jane Austen will be interpreted by playwright and actor Sarah Rose Kearns.The program will be will be guided by teacher and actor Lena Ruth Yasutake.This program is for children (8-12) and teens (13-18). Space is limited so registration is required.
