We are achieving this vision by leveraging the skills girls gain from sport to propel young women into competitive, male-dominated careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).Powered by hundreds of volunteers, Play Like a Girl has benefited over 50,000 girls and women across the world. Join us for STEM+ Saturdays - Spring 2020. Open to middle school girls, grades 5-8. Home school and private school students welcome.

<h3><strong>Let's Play Football: Feb 1   |  10 a.m. - 12 p.m.</strong></h3><p>Join us for a special  STEM+ Saturday - Super Bowl edition. Girls will enjoy festive snacks and drinks while coding a customizable and playable football-inspired video game with MakeCode Arcade. They will learn fundamental game and coding concepts like mods, sprites, variables and coordinates, and use Paint 3D to design there own helmets and stadium. </p><h3><strong>Create Your Own Galaxy: April 4  |  10 a.m. - 12  p.m.</strong></h3><p>Whether you're into stargazing or the cosmos in art, we have something for everyone at STEM+ Saturday in April. Take an orbit around the sun with Tynker Solar System, a block coding program by Microsoft. Girls will learn coding concepts  to make there own unique Solar System model. Together, we will explore the great, big universe out there -- so why not take some time to revel in it? Snack included. </p><h3><strong>Mean Girls: Clicks vs. Cliques: May 2  |  10 a.m. - 12 p.m.</strong></h3><p>Mean girls are out in force online, bullying other girls. This month, we take on cyberbullying, name calling, shaming and other forms of digital cruelty. Girls will ditch the dirt and learn strategies to prevent and control cyberbullying while learning kindest and inclusivity. When the party is over, the girls will have produced there own anti-cyberbullying video. Snack included. </p><h3><strong>Make It Rain: June 6  |  10 a.m. - 12 p.m.</strong></h3><p>Girls will program an Agent robot to complete challenges and even change the weather, or as they say in the world of Minecraft, “they will make it rain Ocelots and Wolves!”. Using Microsoft's MakeCode platform, the girls will increase their confidence and skill in computational and creative thinking. Let the adventure games begin! Snack included. </p><p></p>

<p><strong>First 25 girls  to register for the bundle (all 4 events) will be entered to win an electronic device. Examples include Samsung Tablet, Alexa Echo and Amazon Fire TV Stick!</strong></p>
