During her career, Maggie has worked to specialize in the assessment and treatment of cognitive communication disorders, dysphagia, and the management of trach/vents. Maggie’s started her private practice, Defy Therapy Services, in 2018 and is excited to partner DE Physiatry to help meet the ongoing needs of survivors and caregivers.

BIADE Support Groups are for all people with brain injuries and the caregivers, partners, and helping friends of people with a brain injury. We are a discrimination FREE zone. People are free to speak their minds and be who they are. We have created an educational and emotional support system within the group believing that everyone in the group has significant value and important insights; the support group relies on all members' input for decisions about speakers, activities, interests, references, and self-help.

Our Support Groups are dynamic and interactive, rich with insightful and supportive input from all, and yet flexible to the needs of others at any given meeting. This is not a therapeutic group. We are not qualified to engage in therapy. Group members offer referrals for various services they have found useful from counseling to adaptive equipment and beyond.
