StartUp Founders:Haisam MubarikHaisam is a local financial professional and a pretty cool dude. Being an entrepreneur and having a background in competitive debate, he found a home in Toastmasters. After finding a need for entrepreneurs to learn public speaking, he partnered with fellow Toastmasters to start a club focused on just that. Now, he is blessed with the opportunity to mentor others to better themselves.Jamaal A. MartinGrowing up Jamaal was born with a terrible stuttering problem and multiple learning disabilities. He looked at public speakers and orators as poised superheroes. Later in life, he slowly outgrew his stuttering disability and learned how to overcome his learning disabilities. Toastmasters was like a beacon of light that he finally arrived at when he moved to Dallas in Jan. 2019. After being in toastmasters for 9 months he gave birth to the idea of building his very own toastmaster Lighthouse to be a beacon of light for Startups, entrepreneurs, and young professionals...so they too can become poised superheroes.Jevon A. BoxdellJevon is an HR Management Professional but at heart she is an entrepreneur who creates garments and curates experiences. In her personal and professional life speaking is key to gaining the support and clients needed to trailblaze a path forward. Which means becoming a co-founder was a "no brainer", having a professional background and a heart to grow people is second nature. Join us as we grow future speakers.Sergio PinalSergio became a cofounder for startup toastmasters after a public speaking incident in college. He embarrassed himself in front of a large crowd due to a fear of public speaking. From that day he made a promise to never allow such fears to stunt his personal growth again. His goal is to help others prevent that fear from also crossing their path and become the public speaker they were meant to be.
