Startup Games is a 54-hour competition designed to support, inspire, & teach the skills needed to turn ideas into businesses.

Viva Downtown Redding

T﻿his event is for entrepreneurs, designers, developers, coders, makers, and anyone interested in the skills needed to turn a great idea into a business. H﻿ere&#x27;s how it works:<ol><li>On opening night, participants pitch startup ideas (NOTE: You don&#x27;t have to pitch an idea to participate.)</li><li>The audience votes on these pitches to select the top ideas. The top ideas will get built over the weekend.</li><li>Participants will choose the idea they want to spend the weekend building and join that team.</li><li>The games can begin!</li><li>Teams spend Saturday and Sunday building, validating, and prototyping their ideas with the support and guidance of experienced mentors.</li><li>Participants and attendees regather on Sunday afternoon to make a final presentation and demo what they&#x27;ve built for a panel of judges.</li><li>The Startup Games judges vote and choose a winning team to receive our Startup Games first-place trophies. The winners get the glory and opportunity to take their company to the world with the ongoing support of Startup Redding.</li></ol>Whether win or lose this event is fun and focused on teaching the skills to turn any idea into a business.
