Featuring Quentin Philippe, CEO of Alithic
Alithic is an integrated carbon capture (from the air) and storage business. One ton of CO2 is captured and sequestered permanently for less than 200 kWh of electricity. Our carbonated residue can be used as a cement replacement product.
Alithic is the only company mineralizing CO2 in an alkaline environment. Our mineralization reaction spontaneously regenerates the solvent we use to capture CO2 from the air, so no external energy is needed for regeneration.
Alitihic’s technology was born from research at the University of Wisconsin. The original inventors of the Alithic process remain scientific advisors to the company and are actively involved in helping us commercialise this revolutionary chemistry in scaled industrial deployments.
Quentin Philippe serves as Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at Alithic. He served as Chief Financial Officer at Aerospacelab. He also served as Principal, Energy at Actis. He holds a Bachelor and a Master in Mechanical Engineering (energy specialisation) from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, a Bachelor of Law, a Master in Economics, a Research Master in Economics from the Universite Catholique de Louvain, and an MBA from INSEAD.
