Starting a Spring Vegetable Garden E
By N.C. Cooperative Extension, Carteret County
Overview
Learn what it takes to start a spring vegetable garden, when to start planting, and how to space those tiny seeds in the vegetable garden.
A common New Year resolution is to start a vegetable garden or to grow more vegetables at home. This class is meant to help those who made that resolution learn some simple strategies to make this resolution happen. We will discuss
- How to prepare the garden for planting seeds or transplants
- When to start planting vegetables in the garden
- How to space seeds in the garden to get the most from available space
There will be some handouts for participants to take home. If we have time we will make some seed tape and demonstrate how to make a simple micro-greens garden for the kitchen window ledge.
