Ticket sales have ended

Welcome to the highly anticipated 7th Annual Draw Pond Hockey Tournament hosted by the Stanley Skating Club! As we gear up for this thrilling event, we kindly ask participants to provide their skill level after we send you our rating system. Your accurate self-assessment is crucial, ensuring fair play and an enjoyable experience for all. For returning players, we encourage adjusting your skill rating truthfully, as some participants last year underestimated their abilities. An average skater rates themselves around 6/7. If you consider yourself above this average skill level, kindly select a higher rating than 7. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining fair competition and fostering a vibrant tournament atmosphere. Let's all join together in saying #NoMoreSandbagging! Anticipation runs high as we prepare for what promises to be our most incredible tournament yet! Our team is dedicated to making this year's event the pinnacle of excitement and sportsmanship. We are thrilled to have you join us and eagerly anticipate the forthcoming email with further details. Thank you for being part of the Stanley Skating Club Draw Pond Hockey Tournament. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my own team?

Unfortunately, no. Our tournament operates on a draw format, where teams are formed based on the skill level provided by each participant. This approach ensures fairness and competitiveness by creating balanced teams. Our goal is to foster an even playing field, guaranteeing an electrifying weekend

Can I play on my friends team?

Sure thing! It's luck of the draw! If fate pairs you, you'll play together! Odds? 1 in 12! Remember, no 'bring your own team'—it's all about the draw!"

How many players per team?

This year we will have 12 teams with 7 participants on each team.

What if I drink heavily Saturday night and can't make the tournament on Sunday because I'm hungover?

Ah, hydration is key! We encourage responsible fun. Missing games Sunday? Find another tourney. We expect players to go all in. Skip due to a 'party'? Sorry, but that's the final buzzer for rejoining.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely, your furry teammate is welcome, but a leash is a must. Dogs on ice during a game? That's a slapstick waiting to happen!

What's provided with the entry fee?

With your entry, you get hockey, laughs, awesome folks, cool merch, and the bonus view of the Sawtooth Mountains! Plus, a peek into what us Stanley locals do every weeknight on ice. What more could you ask for? It's the whole package deal!

Will there be food and beverages at the rink?

We have Gud Dogs catering again this year. She will have hot dogs, bratwurst and chili. She will also have breakfast burritos this year during morning games? Stanley Skating Club will have Beverages for sale, Shout Out to Sierra Nevada!!

What equipment do I need?

Skates, stick, helmet, Dark and Light Jersey are all required. Shin guards, elbow pads, gloves recommended.

My son turns 18 in 3 years, can he play?

Sorry, gotta be 18 or older to join this puck party! We're strict on the 'grown-ups only' policy for the hockey shenanigans..

When is the draw?

The draw will be on January 31st at 7:00 via Zoom. If you can not make the draw, no worries your team and 1st game on Friday will be emailed to you after the draw.

Can I please be on my friends team?

Didn't I tell ya? It's the luck of the draw, friend! But hey, you're really keen on that buddy team-up, huh?

How long are games?

Each game is 2-11 minute halves with a 2 minute halftime.

Can I sponsor the tournament?

So glad you asked, we are just finishing our sponsorship packet and will be sending that out in the next couple of days.

What is your refund policy?

Gotcha covered! Until Jan 29th, refunds rain like confetti (minus those pesky Eventbrite fees). After that? Well, the refund train makes its last stop. All aboard before the deadline!

How long were tickets on sale last year?

Last year was a whirlwind! Tickets vanished in a mere 30 hours—poof, gone! But fear not, there's a waitlist brewing. Trust us, miracles happen; 10 lucky folks snuck in during the final countdown!

But my friend and I have skated together ever since we started Pee Wee's, please same team.

(In Soup Nazi voice)No more hockey for you. NEXT!!
