The Stanford GSB Black Business Student Association (BBSA) is excited to host the 2024 Black Leadership Conference. Join us to learn from Black leaders, recognize Black changemakers, and celebrate Black achievement

Where: Knight Management Center, Stanford Graduate School of Business
Who: All are welcome, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members

This year’s theme is Black Excellence: A Legacy of Leadership. Black Excellence has often been used to describe an exceptional few. This year, we will explore the many meanings of Black Excellence across industries and roles to understand how to cultivate it for our future. Inspire. Drive. Support.

We are thrilled to welcome distinguished Black executives, founders, and investors to the GSB to share their wisdom. They embody Black Excellence and inspire the next generation of leaders across many industries including tech, venture capital, sports, entertainment, social impact, and public service.

This year’s full speaker slate will be announced soon and includes:

  • Andre Iguodala, Investor, and former NBA Champion
  • Bozoma Saint John, Author, and Former CMO, Netflix
  • Frank Cooper III, CMO, Visa
  • Wally Adeyemo, US Deputy Treasury Secretary
  • Megan Holston-Alexander, Partner, Head of the Cultural Leadership Fund, Andreessen Horowitz
  • Jason Wright, President, Washington Commanders

The Black Leadership and Tapestry Award Gala

Join us for an evening of celebration at the Black Leadership and Tapestry Award Gala after the conference. Stacy Brown-Philpot, MBA '02, Founder & Managing Partner at Cherryrock Capital, the first Black Woman-founded, multi-hundred-million-dollar venture firm focused on Black and Latine founders. At the Gala, we will present the 2024 Tapestry Award to a GSB alumnus who embodies"inspirational leadership, intellectual excellence, and service to others throughout their professional and personal life."

When: Reception begins at 6:00 pm. After-party begins at 8:30 pm.

Where: Vidalakis Dining Hall

The night will be filled with enjoyment, inspiring stories, delicious food and drinks, music, and great company. Formal attire.
