The Institute of Governmental Studies is the oldest public policy research center in California. IGS promotes research, educational activities, and public service that facilitate a greater understanding of governance, politics, and public policy. IGS and its affiliated centers sponsor a wide variety of activities including seminars and colloquia, public lectures, and student internship and fellowship programs.
