Stamp-Making Workshop

Kit is a multi-media artist based in the greater Boston area. Her illustration clients have included the ICA–Boston, GRLSQUASH, Arnold Worldwide, and the Dorchester Art Project. She has created site-specific murals for the City of Lowell, Lane Memorial Library (Hampton, NH), and the City of Boston (upcoming). When not painting walls or on an illustration deadline, Kit designs illustrated goods and short-run handmade items, and leads meetups and workshops.

Kit Collins

Come empty-handed and leave with a functioning rubber stamp for decorating and personalizing labels, gifts, and stationery. Participants will be familiarized with the materials used in hand-carving a design into rubber, watch step-by-step carving demonstrations, and practice with provided tools. Using either instructor-suggested images or a design of their own creation, participants will carve their own rubber stamp to take home and put to use!
This class will be taught by Kit Collins, local illustrator/artist and Spaceus member. Kit has created hand-carved rubber stamps for commercial clients including the ICA/Boston, GRLSQUASH and BRAIN Arts Organization.
