Y'all asked for it!!! St Paddy's Day Downtown Everyone knows Houstonians loves to celebrate. Downtown is the best place to celebrate St Patrick's Day. There is already a parade which is celebrating it's 60th year!!! Plus so many bars are in walking distance. It's the MOST walkable neighborhood!! We had so much fun last year. We are doing it again. Downtown Houston is well on it's way to becoming the true cultural heart of the city. This is being accomplished by hard work from the Mayor's office, local NGO's, downtown businesses, downtown residents and you!!. Houston deserves a celebration like this. This will only happen with your continued support and enthusiasm. COME CELEBRATE WITH THE CITY!!!! Last year, a lot of the businesses opened up early for a Charity Pub Crawl benefiting the HSSPC (the non profit that puts on the parade). Many businesses also had events throughout the neighborhood. We will post about that and everything else related to this holiday as soon as the information is available.  PARKING: There is a BRAND NEW 800 car private covered garage at Prairie and Travis. ATTIRE: This is St Patricks Day. Please dress accordingly. This is a chance to dress up In the spirit of the holiday. Many locations will have a dress code. Some will not. Ladies the best part about Downtown is how close all the venues are to each other. Wearing heels downtown is much easier than other neighborhoods.  KID FRIENDLY  The parade is all ages. The pub crawl is 21 and up. Other events may have age requirements based on the individual establishments. We will post a Holiday Guide closer to the event date.
