COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS – SPRING 2021We will seat as many requests as possible in the Nave of the Church. Once filled, the remainder of requests will be assigned to the Hall. Outdoor seating available - no registration required.IN PERSON ATTENDANCE OR REMOTE: All are welcome to register for attending Mass on Easter at Saint Rose or Saint Agnes Church. Due to the current pandemic, we ask that anyone who is not feeling well, or has recently been exposed to someone with Covid-19, please stay home. Masses from St Rose will be Livestreamed at https://agnesandrose.org/ for anyone who may choose not to register to attend in person. FACE COVERINGS: As is required by current state law, a mask or face covering (effectively covering the mouth and nose) must be worn when attending Mass both inside and out of doors. During the reception of Holy Communion, masks should be briefly adjusted so as to consume the Blessed Sacrament. If for some legitimate medical reason, or for children of certain ages, one is not able to wear a mask, it is not required of them. SOCIAL DISTANCING: Before Mass, ushers will seat each household or individual according to a seating plan arranged through the registration process. Please be aware that only those who are registered will be able to attend, due to the current restrictions and limited capacity. For those who are not registered, overflow seating will be available outside in the general lawn area. At the end of Mass, Ushers will coordinate how each row will exit the church.LITURGICAL CHANGES: Per archdiocesan requirements, congregational singing, the use of worship aids, and the use of Holy Water fonts has been suspended. The length of time for Mass will be shortened, and there will be no pass of the basket during the collection time. HOLY COMMUNION: Ensuring a reverent, and orderly, safe, procession for the reception of Holy Communion will require that ushers assist in coordinating each row to approach the Altar. So as to avoid persons climbing over others while exiting their pew, all persons are asked to step out of the pew regardless of whether they will be approaching the Altar to receive the Blessed Sacrament. Those Catholics who are not prepared to receive the Blessed Sacrament, or those persons of other religions or faith traditions who are present at Mass may feel free to come forward not to receive the Blessed Sacrament but rather to receive a blessing from the Priest, and are asked to indicate such by crossing their arms over themselves. In this way the priest will know that the person desires to receive a blessing.
