Out with the chili, in the with the SQUASH! Join us for GoFarm’s first ever Squash Cook-Off on Sunday, November 3rd from 1pm-4pm.

Join us for GoFarm’s first ever Squash Cook-Off, where you can taste and vote for your favorite squash dishes. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of music, food, drinks, games, prizes, activities, and most importantly …….. SQUASH!This event is about celebrating our delicious fall bounty AND supporting local farmers! Your ticket = Seed Money for our beginning, local farmers. Your ticket purchase helps us:<ul><li>offer financial support to local farmers through fair-pricing and pre-season purchase agreements.</li><li>hire experienced farmer mentors for farmer apprentices.</li><li>help pay for water, land, and equipment cost for our beginning farmer apprentices.</li></ul>Everyone is invited to this exciting event, but to share your squash dish with the crowd and ENTER the competition, read the guidelines below and enter your dish <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSebTuhfu5kDyNOlnc6fDPUoyfTROaZKGT2TAtmQfUfBkLZ-OQ/viewform" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>!Cook-Off Rules and Guidelines<ul><li>Anyone can enter a squash dish whether you are professional chef, at-home cook, GoFarm shareholder, squash enthusiast, etc! </li><li>Chefs can use any type of squash for their dish.</li><li>Dish must fall into one of the three following categories: Appetizer (salad, soup, etc.), Main Dish, Dessert / Baked Good</li><li>Chef must provide GoFarm with a list of ALL the ingredients in their dish.</li><li>Chef must make enough for 125 - 150 people to sample (sample sizes can be small, i.e. 1oz - 2oz)</li><li>Chef is responsible for bringing their own crock pot or heating apparatus if needed. Electrical outlets and extension cords will be provided.</li></ul>Judging and Awards<ul><li>All guests will vote for their favorite dish in each category. Winners announced at 3:50pm.</li><li>There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.</li><ul><li>1st place: $100 off a 2020 GoFarm Local Food Share + GoFarm Apron + Kitchen Tool</li><li>2nd place: $75 off a 2020 GoFarm Local Food Share + Kitchen Tool</li><li>3rd place: $50 off a 2020 GoFarm Local Food Share + Kitchen Tool</li></ul></ul>
