SQL Server Launch 2016 Discovery Day -- Raleigh-Durham

Kevin Feasel is a Microsoft Data Platform MVP and Engineering Manager of the Predictive Analytics team at ChannelAdvisor, where he specializes in T-SQL and R development, fighting with Kafka, and pulling rabbits out of hats on demand. He is the lead contributor to Curated SQL (https://curatedsql.com), a contributing author to Tribal SQL (http://www.tribalsql.com), and one of the contributors behind We Speak Linux (https://wespeaklinux.com). A resident of Durham, North Carolina, he can be found cycling the trails along the triangle whenever the weather's nice enough.

The SQL Server Launch 2016 Discovery Day is a free, one-day event where individuals come together, learn about SQL Server 2016 and solve a pre-determined problem. Prizes will be awarded for the best solutions at each event.  Microsoft will provide swag at the event and there will also be prizes for local Discovery Day winners and a grand prize for the international winner.
Bring a laptop for this event!  We will be working in small teams on the day of the event.

8:45 AM – Registration 9:00 AM – Introduction 9:30 AM – Presentation 10:30 AM – Break 10:45 AM – Presentation 11:30 AM – Breaking into groups/idea development 12:30 PM – Lunch 1:00 PM – Solution Development 4:00 PM – Show & Tell 4:45 PM – Wrapping Up 5:00 PM – Close
