<h2>Class Description</h2><p>Instructor: Mariel Wega</p><p>Austrian wines—both white and red—are some of the best kept secrets for springtime sipping. With warm, sunny days and cool nights, there is no better place on Earth for producing refreshing-yet-concentrated wines. In Austria, family farms still dominate the winemaking scene, keeping the focus on quality rather than quantity. The nation leads the world in organic wine production. There&#x27;s more good news; Austrian wines offer great value. Just what are these wines? Perhaps you have have already encountered groovy Grüner Veltliner and bone-dry Austrian Riesling. But what about Gelber Muskateller and Blaufränkisch? Didn&#x27;t think so. Embrace the umlaut and join us for a tour of these vibrant cool-climate delights.</p><p>This class will be taught by Tria team alum, Mariel Wega. After Tria, Mariel journeyed one block south to become wine director at <a href="https://www.akitchenandbar.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">a.kitchen+bar</a>, leading it to be named one of America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants by <em>Wine Enthusiast</em>  magazine, and landing her a spot on the Best New Sommeliers of 2016 by <em>Wine &amp; Spirits </em>magazine. Mariel is now the PA sales lead for <a href="https://www.skurnik.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Skurnik Wines &amp; Spirits</a>. Way to go, Mariel!</p><p>$75 per ticket. Includes seven 2-oz wine tasting portions  in super-cute reusable plastic wine glasses, Tria Cheese &amp; Snack Box, tasting mat and tasting sheet.</p><h2>How to Enroll</h2><p>1. Order your tickets. You will be asked to select a pickup location and time slot.</p><p>2. Come pick up your class materials the day of the class.</p><p>3. Go home, slip into something comfortable, sit back and enjoy. </p>
