Spring - Work in Progress Sharing

Spring - Work in Progress Sharing

The Victorian Court Room, The Old CourtsWigan, England
Friday, April 17  •  2 PM - 3:30 PM
Overview

A script in hand, work in progress sharing of Spring, a new play by Laura Atherton about infertility and climate anxiety.

Following a week of developing the play in the rehearsal room, we invite you to a work-in-progress sharing. The sharing will be approximately 60 minutes and we’ll have 30 minutes afterwards for informal feedback and refreshments.

The play follows the story of a couple, Freya and Aaron, who are buying their first house. Things were going to plan for their future, until they miscarried the weekend before moving in. Set in their new garden over three consecutive springs, Spring follows the couple as they navigate loss, infertility challenges, IVF & the emotional toll that comes with it.

We want this sharing to be accessible and therefore this event is free for everyone to attend, thanks to support from The Old Courts and Arts Council England.

If however you would like to support the making of this play, there will be opportunity to make a donation to the work after the sharing, which will contribute towards our running costs.

Spring is written and developed by Laura Atherton, a Wigan born actor, writer and theatre maker. For more information about her and her work please visit www.lauraatherton.co.uk.

Spring is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
