Virtual meet-up including a yoga class taught by Emily Silverman '81

Should the link not work for you, please call Alix Krijgsman at (919) 257-9441.Despite the physical distancing we need to do at the moment, we still wanted to find a way to have our usual Spring get-together. To that end, we are holding a virtual event via Zoom on April 25, from 10:30 a.m.- noon. This event will include a free 45 minute yoga class via Zoom, taught by Emily Silverman '81. Emily is a certified yoga teacher (E-RYT500) and has been teaching yoga since 2007, with students ranging in age from 3 to 95. Her classes are ideal for those new to yoga, seeking a slower pace, addressing health concerns, or just wanting a more personal environment to practice yoga.Emily will lead us in a gentle chair-based yoga class. We will move mindfully, exploring the major joints and muscles of the body. All poses can be done seated, though some will have standing options, so you might want a yoga mat nearby if you have one handy. Class concludes with guided deep relaxation and breathing practice. No yoga experience necessary!You will not need to set up a Zoom account to access the event, but if you are joining via your smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the Zoom app beforehand from the app store.Search in your app store for ZOOM Cloud Meetings and make sure the app icon looks like a white video camera on a blue background. The camera faces to the right. If you are joining via your computer, you will need to download the Zoom desktop client ahead of time.
