Visit the galleries to see our current exhibitions and enjoy live music during art-making workshops led by various teaching artists on the terrace.2-6pm: All Exhibitions on View<ul><li>Out of the Closets! Into the Streets!: New York City’s Pride March 1975-1976. A photography exhibition by the internationally recognized multi-media artist Francisco Alvarado-Juárez.</li></ul><ul><li>Adriana Varejão: Don’t Forget, We Come From the Tropics. Featuring new paintings in the leading Brazilian artist Adriana Varejão’s acclaimed Plate series, in dialogue with ceramics from the Hispanic Society's permanent collection.</li></ul><ul><li>Gregorio Luperón High School Student Exhibition: L@s Mezclad@s at the Hispanic Society. A pop-up exhibition highlighting artworks made by visual art students at Gregorio Luperón High School under the supervision of teaching artist Reynaldo García Pantaleón.</li></ul>2-4pm: Art-Making Workshops (Part 1)<ul><li>Verde y Carmelita: Clay Workshop with María Luisa Portuondo Vila and Aurora De Armendi (Pre-registration Required). 2023 NYSCA Artist Fellows Maria Luisa Portuondo Vila and Aurora De Armendi Sobrino return to explore the creation of small clay sculptures inspired by their most significant memories of trees.</li></ul>2:45-3:45pm: Artist Interviews led by Rachel "La Loca" Strauss<ul><li>Tune in as podcaster Rachel "La Loca" Strauss from "Latinos Out Loud" interviews our program's featured artists about their work and artistic careers.</li></ul>4pm: Art-Making Workshops (Part 2) + Music Performance<ul><li>Ceramics Workshop with Ysabel Abreu. Ysabel Abreu is a visual artist, educator, and advocate based in East Harlem.</li></ul><ul><li>Annette A. Aguilar &amp; Stringbeans Quintet: Brazilian &amp; Latin Jazz Performance w/ Special Guest Appearance by Bean Bloco and Members of Harlem Samba. Annette A. Aguilar is a San Francisco Nicaraguan jazz and rock drummer, percussionist, bandleader, producer, and educator based in New York City. Bean Bloco is a percussion group directed by Annette A Aguilar that performs Afro-Latin and Brazilian rhythms</li></ul>
