We fund innovative classroom projects by hosting microfunding dinners for teachers, educators and supporters.

PhilaSoup

Spring has sprung! We invite you to help us "Grow #PHLed" by joining us at our Spring Soup, on Sunday, May 15 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Philadelphia Immigrant Innovation Hub, located in Mt. Airy at 6700 Germantown Ave.
Hear a new batch of innovative educator proposals, all seeking funding to directly impact the lives of Philly students!
How does it work? Participants come together for a simple meal (in this case - brunch!).  Everyone buys a ticket (or makes a donation), which becomes a portion of the total grant for the event.  During the meal, educators present their ideas for projects they would like to fund with the grant amount.  Each presenter has 3 minutes to present and then a few minutes to answer questions  At the end of the presentations, everyone votes for the project that the would like to give the largest portion of the total grant to.  Every teacher receives a portion of the funds and PhilaSoup matches the ticket sales, up to $500, to make the grant even bigger!
