Vesnianky (Spring songs).were sung to wake up the Spring, to call to her to arrive, to send winter away, to fill the earth with songs and laughter, to encourage growth. This workshop is open to singers of all genders, backgrounds, and levels of experience - ages 10 and up. All songs will be taught in the oral tradition. Ability to read Ukrainian or musical notation is not required and some of the time in the workshop will be spent on the vocal technique used to create the folk singing style.
Веснянки співали, щоб розбудити весну, закликати її, прогнати зиму, наповнити землю піснями і сміхом, спонукати її до росту. Цей майстер-клас відкритий для співаків будь-якої статі, походження та досвіду - віком від 10 років. Усі пісні будуть викладатися у форматі передання усної традиції. Вміння читати текст українською/кирилицею не вимагається. Деякий час у майстер-класі буде присвячено вокальній техніці, яка використовується для створення народного співу.
