Spring Selections For Easter And Spring Feasts
Wines for ham, lamb, asparagus, salads, deviled eggs or pretty much anything else you’re cooking from Italy, Greece, Austria an Spain!
If you’re looking for wines to handle ham, lamb, asparagus, salads, deviled eggs or pretty much anything else you’re cooking up to celebrate springtime, Saturday’s tasting has you covered! From Italy to Greece to Austria and Spain, you’ll enjoy all five wines on tasting and on sale Saturday, noon-4pm. Come try:
Cantina Terlano Terlaner DOC 2024 - If you’ve drunk Terlano Terlaner before, you already know why we bring it back every year. If you're new to it? Well welcome to one of the best Italian whites we carry. A perfect springtime white.
Nikolaou Estate Nikolaou Kydonitsa 2023 – We didn’t know this either, but it turns out the Kydonitsa grape from Greece’s Nemea makes a terrific springtime and seafood white! Limited and well worth trying.
La Capranera Aglianico Campania 2023 – Southern Italy’s Aglianico grape is a classic match for lamb, and this one is both soft enough to start enjoying while lunch is cooking and enough of a bargain to just drink for the fun of it!
Steindorfer Apetlon Rouge Burgenland 2023 - A very Austrian take on casual red wine to enjoy every day (think an Austrian Cotes du Rhone) made from Blaufränkisch (40%), St. Laurent and Zweigelt (30% each). Juicy and delicious.
Clos Galena Galena Priorat 2021 – If you’re looking for a bit more power and impressiveness without losing immediate drinkability, this is for you. A touch of Cabernet gives fabulous structure and focus here.
You’ll discover at least one or two new favorite wines and especially enjoy how they play with the week’s featured nibble from the cheese case. And you definitely will enjoy the on-tasting savings, too. Come try the full line-up!
