This Sunday May 19th, 2024 from 3 P.M.- 9 P.M., there will be a day party event (HBCU Spring Fling) hosted at one of Chicago's Slickest Venues, (Morgan MFG. 401 N. Morgan) and in one of Chicago's hottest areas (The Fabulous Fulton District, that you simply will not want to miss. This event is being hosted by one of the co-founders of the annual Bayou Boogie Viewing Party at Joe's On Weed Street and Grambling State University Alum Donovan Smith. Anyone familiar with the history of that great event also knows that it was in this particular neighborhood of the city(at Jefferson Tap on Fulton/Jefferson), that the Bayou Boogie was originally founded. It was also in this particular area (at The Market In The West Loop), that the Bayou Boogie would later cement itself as a permanent fixture of the city, and embed itself in the hearts and minds of its residents. This event is intended to be a celebration of both HBCUs and the City of Chicago as a whole, with the added pleasure of serving as a kickoff to Chicago's Spring and a prelude to Chicago's Summer Season. It will feature a live performance by Hip Hop Legend Chubb Rock, AKA "The Chubbster", with music provided by some of Chicago's Hottest DJs. Come one, come all as you don't want to miss this, as it definitely will be a vibe.
