Create and carve your own spring-themed linoleum prints and tea towels!

Join us at The Empty Corner to make some spring-inspired prints with Mine from Blue Fern Ceramics! Make your own designs and print them onto the provided tea towels to liven up the kitchen, or make some lovely prints to hang up in your home! This workshop will introduce you to the art of linoleum carving- a printmaking technique that is easily customizable and tons of fun! Linoleum printmaking involves carving a soft rubber surface with your design of choice and coating it in paint. Once you press down on your paper or fabric, you have a print to show off and replicate as often as you’d like! All participants will create and carve out one of their own prints. Paint (pink, green, black, and white), cotton tea towels, and card paper will be provided. Also included during the class are printmaking tools such as a linoleum carving tool, a printmaking brayer, and a block of linoleum. Tickets are $50, and the event is BYOB.
