Spring New Parent Workshop

Mother & Child works with moms, dads, and others parenting during pregnancy and their children's early infancy years of zero to five; offering classes, supplies, parent/family counseling, and connection to resources. Services are offered at no cost, and not restricted to income level or demographic, to equalize and to build a community of competent and confident parents.Mother & Child is a local Portland, OR 501(c)3 non-profit, operating as Mother & Child since 2008; offering a non-judgemental space that connects and supports parents where they are at. Mother & Child is sustained through the giving of individuals, businesses, grants, and fundraising events.

Welcome to the New Parent Workshop! Join Mother &amp; Child Education Center for a fun and informative event designed for new parents to gain some or more hands-on experience. This workshop will cover a range of topics to help you navigate the exciting journey of parenthood. From diaper changing tips, bathtime basics, postpartum planning, to car seat safety, we've got you covered. Our goal is to create opportunities for new and expecting parents to be introduced to a variety of hands-on education and resources at an in-person workshop event. Learn car seat safety from certified techs, how to use cloth diapers with PDX Diaper Bank, best safe sleep practices with OHSU's Tom Sargent Safety Center, and more! Meet other new parents, ask questions, and learn from experienced professionals. This workshop is geared towards parents who are expecting or have a child 6 months or younger. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with others and gain valuable insights. We can't wait to see you there!
