What Is It and Why Should I Care? with Jen Kusch<ul><li>Emotional intelligence is the key to both personal and professional success. Come learn about this incredibly necessary &quot;soft skill.&quot; We will talk about what emotional intelligence is, why it&#x27;s important, and how you can learn to be emotionally intelligent. This valuable skill will set you apart from your peers the more you practice and master emotions and how they play a role in our lives. </li></ul>A﻿pril 28 - Cover Letters and Resumes with Eric Anderson<ul><li>L﻿earn best practices for writing cover letters and formatting your resume. Eric will help you translate your service to your cover letter and resume. There will be time to ask specific questions so have your cover letter and resume with you. </li></ul>M﻿ay 1 - Strengthening Resumes &amp; Interview Skills with Penelope Larsen<ul><li>This session aims to help AmeriCorps members learn about power words, power statements, and the STAR method when writing application materials and preparing for interviews.</li></ul>M﻿ay 3 - Using Your Education Award with Char Kremer<ul><li>In this session, members will learn how to view their service in the context of continued education and job searches, how to recruit for their replacement, and how to use their education award effectively.
