About this event

  • 1 hour 15 minutes

The tour of the mansion lasts 75 minutes. Guests will have enough time to see the entire mansion, including rooms that were never shown in the movies! You can expect to be fully immersed in movie magic and transported back to the 90s!

To paraphrase a famous quote: There are certain rules one must abide by in order to successfully survive this tour.

The Rules:

Rule #1: Shoe covers will be provided and must be worn inside the home. This is to preserve the original flooring.

Rule #2: Please do not touch objects in the home. It is currently occupied and the owners will have their personal belongings there.

Rule #3: Never say, “I’ll be right back”. You must stay with the group for the duration of the tour.

Rule #4: You can take as many photos and videos as you’d like, given that it’s not for commercial purposes.

At the end of the tour, you will walk through the notorious garage where surprises await you… Are you ready?

Extra tips for a SCREAM-ING visit!

Turn your visit into a two-day trip! If you love the movie SCREAM, you’d be surprised to know that all the other filming locations are only about 20 to 30 minutes away from the house and from each other! You can see the fountain where the characters are eating grapes in Healdsburg. This town also has a themed ice-cream shop that's located across from the building used as Woodsboro's police station - it is now Oakville Grocery Co., serving sandwiches, salads and other picnic-friendly fare. You will definitely feel like Dewey (David Arquette) walking around this area. You can also visit the Sonoma Community Center that became Woodsboro High School in Scream (1996)! This is a must see for any mega Scream fan! They fully embraced the franchise and love having fans stop by. Lastly, drive to Santa Rosa and visit the grocery store where Sidney (Neve Campbell) and Tatum (Rose McGowan) shop for snacks before Stu’s impromptu house party (Matthew Lillard). All of these places are public spaces one can visit at any time. (With the exception of late at night). Just like the Spring Hill Estate Mansion, other filming locations such as Sidney's house, Casey Becker's house, and Tatum's house, are on private property so one must not visit, unless invited.

As far as activities unrelated to movies, one can visit Dillon Beach in the Bay Area. It's a hot destination if one is looking to relax and enjoy rural California. One can also go wine-tasting as the area has many popular vineyards.

Where to stay while visiting the mansion?

There are many Airbnb’s and VRBO’s available by the mansion and in the surrounding bay area. You can also stay at hotels in the cities where the rest of Scream (1996) was filmed! These include: Santa Rosa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg. There are also two cottages on Spring Hill Estate property one can rent.

Visit our favorite restaurant:

The Washoe House! This fantastic place is only 25 minutes away from the mansion. As an American-Italian cuisine style, this restaurant's menu is quite extensive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are always available. (The peach cobbler is ridiculously delicious).

How to get to the property?

If you're flying from out of state into California, you can use two main airports. The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the biggest one, which allows for more flexibility as well as flight schedules. This airport is about an hour and a half drive to the mansion. If in need of a car, there are car rental agencies located at the airport itself.

The second airport is the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport located in Santa Rosa. This airport is about forty-five minutes away from the mansion. You can rent a vehicle or use apps such as Uber, Lyft, etc. It's important to note that these apps are not very popular in the area, which can result in delays while arriving to the event. Please prepare accordingly for that.

Cancellation policy:

Tours will only be cancelled if weather conditions pose a big threat. If you can no longer attend, you can cancel your visit and get a full refund as long as your cancellation is done prior to 7 days before your tour date and time. No exceptions.
