Spring EQUEERnox

Spring EQUEERnox

Blas Gwent VegPeterstone Wentlooge, Wales
Saturday, Mar 21 from 1 pm to 3 pm
Overview

Join Teasel as we shake off the sleep and welcome the Spring Equinox.

After a long winter’s hibernation, we are finally stretching our limbs and stepping onto the land.

Join Teasel as we shake off the sleep and welcome the Spring Equinox. We’ve been given access to a beautiful new piece of land, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

We’ll share food, walk around the site, ground ourselves, engage in some light gardening and walk along the sea wall.

We’ll provide food, snacks are welcome. Lifts to the land can be arranged.

When: Saturday 21st March, 1 PM – 3 PM

Where: Blas Gwent St Peters Crescent, Peterstone Wentlooge, Cardiff CF3 2TR

TRAVEL:

We can help organise travel. You will be sent a link to a spreadsheet once you get your ticket where you can input whether you can take people or need a lift. If you don't receive this, please email teasel-coop@proton.me.

ACCESS INFO:

Blas Gwent is accessible via a roughly 200m lane which is very potholey. If walking this length is not possible for you, we will try our best to coordinate a car that can take you directly to the gate. Inside, the ground is currently grassy and muddy, but our event shelter will be set up very close to the entrance. Currently, Blas Gwent is not wheelchair accessible. We will have some chairs as well as blankets to sit on the floor, but feel free to bring your own camping chair if you wish. There is a single toilet available on site. There is no indoor space, so please dress accordingly.

The walk to the sea wall will be slow paced and we can turn around at any time. If there is anyone who can’t manage the walk, some of us will stick around on the farm and have a static activity.

FOOD:

We will provide vegan food with a gluten free option. If you have any other dietary needs or allergies, please let us know so we can accommodate them. You are welcome to bring your own food or snacks.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Comfortable, warm, and waterproof clothing. This is crucial because there is no inside space.
  • Boots that can withstand mud – wellies, hiking boots, etc. If you do not have anything appropriate please let us know and we’ll find you some.
  • Camping chair (if needed) – we will have some available too
  • Water – we will have some drinking water available, but please bring a bottle of water for yoursel if possible.
