Spring Ephemeral Walk
Guided spring ephemeral walk with naturalist Mathew McDowell, at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.
Join Wild Ones Lower Hudson Valley for a guided walk through early spring woodland landscapes, where the forest floor comes alive with native spring ephemerals.
These short-lived plants take advantage of the brief window of sunlight before the tree canopy fills in. Along the trail, we’ll explore species such as trout lily, bloodroot, and spring beauty, along with other early-season native plants that carry the landscape into late spring.
Led by Mathew McDowell
