The tournament will be single elimination. All teams need to be registered ahead of time. Team will be drawn randomly and placed into the bracket.
Yes. There is a children's division for the cornhole tournament. The children's division is 5 years old through 11 years old.
The cornhole boards placed 27 feet apart from front edge to front edge. The kids division will be 13 feet apart. Players alternate turns tossing their cornhole bags toward the opposite board. After each team has pitched four bags, players take score, and resume pitching to the opposite board.
A cornhole bag that goes through the hole is worth 3 points. A cornhole bag that lands on the board and stays there is worth 1 point. A cornhole bag that lands on the ground or bounces onto the board is worth 0 points. Cancellation Scoring: Only one team can score points per inning.
The first team to reach or exceed 21 points at the conclusion of an inning is the winner. This is to help keep the tournament moving and finish in our allotted timeframe.
We are abiding by the American Cornhole Association's rules and scoring.
Each team's entry fee is $20. There is no entry fee for the children's division. Anyone 12 years old and older will play in the main division and requires the $20 team entry fee.
The cornhole tournament is open to anyone in the Ardmore Neighborhood and Winston-Salem area.
The cornhole tournament will be indoors. Tournament participants will have to adjust to the ceiling height. The food will be served inside but seating will be available both inside and outside.
We ask that all participating teams arrive and check in by 3:45pm. This will allow teams to know their matchup and where they are playing. Early check in will then help the matches start on time.
